Easily in my Top 10 restaurants in Johannesburg. Epicure, delivers consistency, in service, quality of staff, cuisine and ambience. From the day they opened their doors to over a year later and they still deliver a premium service. Well done Chef Coco and your team.
The service was superb, the food excellent. An experience for the palate to have all these different flavor combinations and ingredients that are unique. The ambiance was slightly lacking, however there was a bustle as the restaurant was quite full. We had a well rounded evening.
The place was dead, there was no music , only the sound of kitchen staff cooking and talking. The meal was overpriced, the meal was flavorful but the meat over cooked , the staff were friendly and trying their best

We started with a tasty ginger cocktail followed by a plantain and pea puree amus bouche. For starters we had a selection of three different starters (fried red snapper, duck samosa, vegetarian injera) for mains we had a plantain, fufu and goat (so delicious and really couldn't have asked for more) and the Cape Malay chicken (also beautiful and delicious). Dessert was fritters and peanut butter ice-cream (yum yum yum)
