Just perfect
The floor is sprung and shakes when people walk. I became nauseous so asked to be moved to the wall where it moved a little less. As the restaurant filled up the shaking lessened so I was able to enjoy my lunch
A creative culinary experience that certainly lingers. The dessert was especially noteworthy, one of the best I've had!

Read full reviewWe have been to “Fyn" many times before. It’s a very special restaurant that Cape Town should be proud of. It’s recent recognition within the world’s top 100 is a fitting tribute to its sustained excellence. This recognition also means it’s not surprising to see a large table of Russians, as well as many other nationalities making Capetonians the minority. Our meal was fabulous, great dishes, theatre, crockery.. all served beneath the most spectacular art installation, looking out over Parliament to Table Mountain. It was faultless. My only criticism is a general point. In these days of bloggers, vloggers, influencers and the like, they are becoming more intrusive on the other diners as they circle the restaurant and tables creating their content. It is now a Maitre’D’s responsibility to police this annoyance. While I understand it, likely, benefits the restaurant, it impacts the other diners. Two out of four of our Restaurant Week bookings, to date, have had this problem. Congratulations to Peter, Ashley and Jennifer upon their recent recognition as one of the world’s best 100, it’s a privilege to eat there.
It was our first visit to FYN & what an experience...From the food, the ambience & service...a real treat...if you wish to spoil yourself, make your way to Peter Tempelhof creation & submerge yourself in the space...
