Excellent food and service, best restaurant around
Have been back a few times. The drive there and back is beautiful. The venue in the trees is peaceful. I prefer sitting inside where they played lovely music (softly!). From the starter (mushroom risotto and steak tartrate), to the pork belly and fillet steak and the chocolate torte, the portions were generous, well...

From the starter (mushroom risotto and steak tartrate), to the pork belly and fillet steak and the chocolate torte, the portions were generous, well presented and tasty. Always worth a visit. Pity I didn’t take pictures, particularly of the sparklers on my dessert to celebrate my birthday!
We had a lovely relaxing family lunch. Nothing like good food, excellent service to lighten one’s soul.
Also the views on the drive up to the restaurant are stunning.
Definitely worth visiting.
Unfortunately a few problems with the food.....11 people only 10 mains served....obviously the 11th was lost somewhere between waiter and chef.....no apology or explanation......the fish was clearly frozen as it was dry and rubbery....worst fish I have eaten in a long time.......no intervention from management......problems with the bill....overall a dissapointing lunch......
