Food was good, Venison was the most disappointing dish, very dry, but rest of the meals presented was good.

Baie lekker food.
Four course came with generous glass of KZ cap classique.
Value for money.
Special appreciation that we could sit outdoor under the new shade sail within a week after the devastating storm.

Delicious 3-course lunch with complementary glass of bubbly! Wonderful flavours all round and the chef was most accommodating with dietary requirements ! Enjoyed pairing some of the Kleine Zalze wines with the various courses !

Kleine Zalze wines are lovely and the glass of MCC plus the chardonnay did not disappoint. We went for a mix of tastes - calamari & aubergine / prawns / beef tartare / pork belly / venison. The springbok was delicious - perfectly cooked in an aromatic spicy jus. Calamari was good, although the mix of hot calamari with cold aubergine was a bit odd. The beef tartare was nice but not outstanding. The prawns were perfectly cooked but the avo / mayo mix was a little too creamy. I would have preferred more zingy flavours. Overall the mains were good.
I chose pannacotta for dessert which was a bit disappointing- there was too much gelatine which meant that it didn't have that good wobble. My husband's chocolate cheesecake was heavenly.

Alongside the plats du jour consumers can choose from a collection of cold tapas as well as an interesting list of warm tapas plates. Incredibly popular, the tapas plates are perfectly pitched for a lighter meal at the restaurant, a snack with a glass of wine or to complement a wine tasting.
