We enjoyed the meal with friends and recommend the restaurant.
So happy that we visited Paul Cluver. The food was excellent! Everyone loved their choices. The tomato soup works warm and cold. Such a taste explosion. The set menu choices really showcase the talents of the kitchen crew and pairs perfectly with the Estate wines. The entire experience was exceptional. Sharon, her colleague and their kitchen crew are huge assets to this estate.
Forgotten how lovely it is there.
Really improved since our last visit.

About The Restaurant at Paul Cluver
Cuisine: Seasonal
This season, we are proud to offer our guests the Elgin Free Range Lime and Chilli Chicken Kebab as our main dish, accompanied by our beloved Roasted Tomato Soup, which can be enjoyed hot or cold to suit the changing autumn weather. This dish has been a long-time favourite of Dr. Cluver and we are excited to share it with our customers.
For the special occasion of Restaurant Week, we are offering this exquisite meal at a price of R345 per person.
At our restaurant, we celebrate everything local. We grow the freshest produce in our own garden and the De Rust Futura school garden on our estate, and we source the best ingredients from our neighbors in the Elgin Valley. Our passion for country living, wholesome dishes, fine wine, and family is reflected in the complete dining experience we offer.
Our team, guided by Chef Stacey, has curated a seasonal menu that is simple, seasonal, and local. Chef Stacey, the first-ever South African to win gold at the Chaines des Rotisseurs Commis Rotisseurs, has a multi-faceted career that includes cheffing, consulting, and international judging. Her inspiration is rooted in simplicity, fresh ingredients treated simply and served generously, the beautiful balance that comes from considered food and wine pairing, and the memories that these moments create.
