Our experience @ Ruben's restuarant was epic. The service staff were friendly, professional and attended to our needs. We loved the food and have already told our friends about the place so we will be coming back.

Menu was limited (due to Restaurant week) but all the food had lovely fresh flavours. The salad had undertones of fresh herbs and light parmesan taste. The kingklip was perfectly prepared with delicious jus. Dessert was creme caramel with berries and coffee ice cream - beautiful combination. Service was attentive and friendly. We chose a bottle of Viognier that was a good pairing with the food

Perfect outside table in the fine weather was ready and waiting for us on arrival. The waitress, Jodi, was all that you can expect from someone - she was quietly attentive, very witty which gave the service a unique dimension and very knowledgeable. The three course menu, of which we were eligible to choose two courses, made the decision impossible. But the ever resourceful Jodi came to our rescue and suggested we split the starter and the dessert. Problem solved and we got to taste everything. As we had expected from Reuben's the food was superb. Such interesting flavours, textures and presentations. An overall outstanding experience. Thank you all.

From the moment our restaurant has opened its’ doors, we’ve been blessed by a steady stream of accolades and awards. Thankful as we are for these, we still prefer to keep things simple and let our food and service do the talking.

Like the cuisine, our restaurant exhibits a homely yet sophisticated atmosphere where our guests can enjoy their meals in an unhurried setting. Apart from the eclectic, regularly updated menu that lists a good number of Reuben’s favourites, specials of the day are scribbled on three large chalk boards against the wall. Like all of our meals, these specials are created to take advantage of the freshest ingredients as they become available and dishes are created on the inspiration of our chef.

The expansive wine list boasts a fine selection of wines, from the region and elsewhere, to accompany the fine fare. Should you wish to have a few drinks before or after your meal, the cocktail bar offers plush seating or space at the bar where you can rest your drinks on the wing of a vintage cargo plane.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

4. Are drinks included in the menu price?

In most deals, drinks are not included.

5. How can I change my reservation?

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
