The friendliness of the staff and the care from management was really good.
Well done and will certainly go back even if it’s just for the salmon duo

I advised them that it was our anniversary, Our table was not set specially for us and was in the middle of the room which is not very convenient. We had to ask for a candle for our table. The waiter wasn't very friendly and was mumbling so we struggled to hear him. Only at the end I could clearly hear him Say "Thank you" . The service was good - we did not have to wait for service and we did not wait too long for our meals to be served. The food Choices was a good variety and wine got served with every meal, that was nice and a good variety to pick from.
Everything was prepared to perfection - therefor I would recommend the food any day.
I also did not know if the R400 per person included the TIP for the waiter or not so I gave one anyway.
But all and all, the evening was enjoyable.
A sneaky mid-week dinner treat during Restaurant Week proved well worth it! Tucked away in the endless corridors of Sandton City, it offers a welcome break from the noisy Square restaurants. Tastefully decorated with gentle music in the background was a nice touch.

Onto the food - whatever you guys do, do not let go of your chef! The three course menu was so cleverly constructed with unbelievable flavours on every plate!!
For starters, the seared salmon with teriyaka sauce was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked salmon and a dressing that I basically wanted to lick the plate clean. The beef carpaccio was melt in your mouth tender with a delicate zesty dressing which left us wanting more.
For mains, the Lamb Phyllo Basket transported me to Greece as it was packed full of the most flavoursome lamb, spinach and feta and drizzled with such a meaty jus. Very indulgent but so very delicious. Definitely my highlight dish!
The sirloin was beautifully tender dressed with and earthy mushroom sauce and paired with a delicious cabsav/merlot blend!
For dessert - the vanilla panacotta with fresh strawberries and gooseberries was to die for. The texture of the panacotta was silky smooth with just the right about of jiggle on the plate.
The lemon tart was a combination between a baked tart with a sugar baked creme-brulee top. Utterly delicious and so delicately flavoured!
Without a doubt we will be back to dine at Pigalle! The staff were so lovely and the food was without fault! Thank you for an unbelievable dining experience!
