I enjoyed lunch at the Mezepoli on Saturday, we had hummous, calamari fried with onions, peri peri chicken wings, souvlaki & chips, baby marrow with parmazan shavings and their pickled cabbage salad. All very tasty. The wine was very expensive so we opted for soft drinks. Service average but friendly, food tasty and its a lovely venue on the beachfront. I would consider going back with a group of friends - it would be a fun way to dine. Not as good as the Pot Luck Club at the Old Biscuit Mill but nevertheless pleasant.

I have been wanting to try Mezepoli's out for ages, and sadly the experience did not even remotely live up to my expectations.
I thought the service was awful. We felt rushed as soon as we walked in - it seemed as if they were trying to get us out of there ASAP because we were there on a restaurant week booking, and not a normal table. The menu included "4 courses", and we were in and out of there in less than an hour! Our waitress' English was also really not great, and she was at our table for a very large part of the one hour we had to sit there.

The food was really good flavour wise, but the portion sizes were completely off. My fiancé's main course was a third of the size of mine, while his one starter was really large.
I was also incredibly annoyed by the fact that Mezepoli advertised this special as a 4 course meal (the menu even had it set out as appetiser, starter, mains and dessert). It is in fact just a selection of tapas style dishes, all brought to your table at once. I would much preferred to have order separately then so that our night wouldn't have been over so abruptly.

While the food was tasty, it was not fantastic enough to make me want to pay their normal full prices and sit there again. Definitely a place better left to the tourists in the area - there are far better Greek style restaurants in the city.

We had a very enjoyable lunch! The Restaurant has a good choice of apperitifs and starters and those which we sampled (which for most included spinnikopita and calamari) were very good. Whilst the "Restaurant week" price ( one apperitif and two starters for R95) was very good value for money-their normal prices are very reasonable for what you get.

The menu choices were very varied and every dish the 6 people in our party selected was delicious. It was also a superb location for a special meal with friends.
