Placed at the booth section of the restaurant I could not help but notice that the floor was dirty underneath the table. The lunch menu contained an error (Hake & Fish) which the manager himself mentioned to us - the menu was a simple print so I think they could have corrected it on the few menus they had to print for the 2 weeks.
We had an overall enjoyable experience, the food was delicious and the service was good.
The menu set forth for Restaurant Week provided for quite a number of options, albeit not the best they have to offer I'm sure, still much more than we bargained for at R150 per head.
It's a nice restaurant, however the food didn't live up to my expectations. The starter, spanish prawns was more like a curry and over seasoned. The main, chicken was really bad, burnt & over seasoned. I didnt want to send it back or complaint about it. At least the dessert was worth it, a chocolate mousse. The overall experience was nice but the food was disappointing.
Restaurant week for me is when restaurants need to WOW me with the best food and service that will want to make me come back for more.
It is sad to say but I did not get the WOW factor at Prosopa, it is unfortunate as it was our first time there and we love trying something new.

It is sad to say but I did not get the WOW factor at Prosopa, it is unfortunate as it was our first time there and we love trying something new.
The starters were tasty, but not something new or exciting.
I did not like the tin foil around the meat of the mains, it lacked in presentation and I really did not like having to take it off to actually eat my meat and what bothered me more was the fact that there were small pieces of tin foil in my food and that is a definite no no! My pumpkin was also cold.
Dessert was very nice, I had the puff pastry filled with milk tart and custard which was delicious.
Unfortunately I will not go back.
A lovely night out in a tranquil setting. Service and hosting was very attentive , we were moved to a better table as the breeze became colder without even asking. Food was wholesome Mediterranean fare well prepared.

Prosopa
The elegant, stylish interior designed by renowned local architect, Callie van der Merwe, creates a sophisticated, fresh atmosphere at Prosopa, situated in the heart of Waterkloof Heights.
Prosopa’s extensive Mediterranean menu is influenced by the flavours of Greece, Portugal and Spain. The signature lamb dish Kleftiko is deboned leg of lamb wrapped in vine leaves & foil stuffed with feta, fresh tomato, herbs and spices and slow roasted in the oven. An option one cannot stay away from is the fantastic array of mezze one can have on a platter or individually.
The extensive award-winning wine list offers many a gem to be enjoyed beside the fireplace on a cold winter’s night or on the veranda with the curtains blowing in a soft summer breeze.
