"Disappointing experience "

A bunch of us from work went for lunch, which turned into a 2 and a half hour waiting session. We were a table of 12 and I heard from the hostess that they had another table of 35 at the same time. The food was extremely mediocre. Personally I think that the kitchen could not handle the amount of people booked. Some of the pork ordered were burnt and I had an added bonus of plastic in my turkey roulade. Presentation was however well done.

After complaining, our deserts (which seemed very similar to cremora tart) however came very quickly.

We've had previous very good experiences here, but not today.

We've been spoilt during Restaurant Week & unfortunately found the ambience & food mediocre @ De Kloof. Our expectations were high for Fine Dining & though the food was good it lacked excitement.

A perfect evening. Professional staff, welcoming atmosphere and mouthwatering menu using interesting ingredients and beautifully presented. Lovely ambiance with the twinkling city lights in the distance.

"Great little quaint restaurant "

De Kloof is a romantic restaurant that gives you a feeling of privacy and exclusivity, it has a touch of modern class without loosing its quaint feel. Food was delicious, wine paired well with the meals, all in all it was a great experience and definitely some of the finest dining in Pretoria.

1st thing was the Lovely View...cant miss that. The Service was Fantastic and quick...also the menu was properly explained...and some suggestions made...the presentation of the food was excellent...the wine was lovely...overall a great experience.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
