It was a lovely sunny day so nothing beats sitting outside in the courtyard with the sun shining and the wine flowing. Service was excellent and quick, and quite happy to accommodate my 3 year old son's requests to "see if there is strawberry juice in the fridge". The food took a little longer than expected but it was a very busy day so was expected...plus it gave us more time to enjoy the day. Thanks for a great afternoon :)
I haven't been to Peddlars since my varsity days so when a colleague at work suggested we go there for our client lunch, I hesitated at first as memories of drunken debauchery flew back into my mind at the speed of light!
How surprised I was when we stepped into Peddlars that seemingly normal Wednesday afternoon.

The place has retained its former charm but you can see that they have given the place a bit of love- especially in the outdoor and restaurant spaces...
We sat in the restaurant after being greeted by a polite young waitress and shown to our table. We were welcomed to Volare, which is peddlars new Italian restaurant within the building. We perused the menu and were pleased to see it offered more than pasta...
Coincidently Peddlars are running what they call a Power Lunch special which is an abbreviated menu of 2 or 3 courses (the 3 course option comes with a free glass of wine). Perfect, our client could order whatever he wanted off the menu and we wouldn't have to explain a frightening bill to the boss.
Lunch went off brilliantly; we were able to connect to free wifi for the duration and the food was much better than anticipated. I had the salad starter-bit simple but clean and for mains I had the linefish which was yellowtail- cooked to perfection and so light and tasty, served on steamed veg.
My only criticisms were the cheesy music on repeat and that our waitress could've been a bit more doting.
Other than that, I'm a huge fan of Italian and anywhere with a relaxed atmosphere so Peddlars, its time for me to make a comeback me thinks!
