This was a real treat and amazing value for money! Other than the prawns (which were just right) the portions were HUGE, but SO delicious and so wonderful. Great service!
The service was excellent, that includes everyone who dealt with us. We did a tasting menu, the starters were good (calamari was a bit tasteless), the mains were well portioned, but I found the prawns a bit floury. The dessert was excellent, we shared 3 (brulle, lemon tart and panna cotta). They also have a great wine selection.

I started with duck spring rolls, which were a pleasant surprise as they were savoury and duck-ey - not oily and tasting primarily of cabbage and carrot as some spring rolls can be! My main was queen prawns, which were beautifully cooked and just the right texture. They came with lemon butter, garlic butter and peri peri sauces - the garlic butter was finger-licking good. Dessert was a creme brulee which was superb (and my personal favourite restaurant test). The custard was light, delicate and full of flavour without being too sweet, and the crust was perfect - not too thick and just perfectly browned.
The evening standout though was the service - everyone we interacted with was smiling and friendly without being intrusive, smooth and excellent service and moving us to the far end of the restaurant when a large and very loud table sat down next to us was very much appreciated. The only minor touch I could have preferred would be to serve my friend from her right instead of across the table, but having said that I never felt as though an arm intruding into my space, which is most often the cases at other restaurants where food is shoved across you.
An altogether excellent experience - Pigalle is a touch above.
