The last time i was at the Wild Fig was about 6 years ago, and it has not lost any of its charm.

Please Wild Fig, change the font of the menu for us who are getting older to be able to read it more easily would be my only true complaint - oh and the fact that the duck was unavailable, when the menu is that small, it would've been better to have all items available.
I will be back.
Snail starter was fantastic !!!
Duck main course was disappointing - although generous - 2 big portions, they were tough and all 3 diners were disappointed, the venison was good although also tough.
Disappointing that only 2 of the 3 deserts were available but the 2 that we tried were fantastic !! 3 of the 4 guests said that the desert was the best part of the meal!!!

Read full reviewSuch a beautiful venue that was let down by some disappointing food. We both had the game terrine which was OK apart from a few "chewy" pieces and only one piece of melba toast. The duck, which was apparently the house specialty, was let down by one slice of greasy potato being the only starch element and the chirico and calamari stew, which I'd been looking forward to, left a medicinal taste in the mouth. Unfortunately, we were informed that the "textures of chocolate", hadn't set, so my partner had the pavlova... which had soft meringue and not the crispy type as expected. I'd informed the waiter that I was allergic to chocolate, so to please make sure there was none on my panacotta... however, on presentation, there was a large decorative chocolate shard sticking out of the top of it! All in all, it's a venue we were hoping would wow us enough to entice us to return, but on this occasion it let itself down and along with that, has lost these customers...
This was the perfect spot to end end a hectic yet exciting work week with two of my colleague friends. The food was really top notch. Loved that barley risotto served with the ostrich and a great wine recommendation was given by our waitress. Salad exploded with imaginative flavours and that pavlova.......We will be back. Wild Fig - that was a wild and wonderful taste sensation.
Sadly the main course, duck, was over cooked. The restaurant also had a function in the main dining room and we were directed to the upstairs dining room which was devoid of atmosphere. Generally it was a disappointing experience.
