Sorry to say but we found it very disappointing. Staff was friendly, but very slow. Food was not what we expected.

The food was very well presented and aesthetically pleasing. The carpaccio starter was great yet slightly bland and too much leafy additions taking away from the meat. The main dish - yellow tail - was divine. Perfect balance between the well cooked fish and light lemon crusted seasoning. The warm potato salad was divine with the creamy sauce that accompanied it.This was a truly excellent dish. The desert was equally amazing with the citrus segments and custard and yogurt sorbet that rounded it off beautifully.A worthwhile experience with excellent service from our waitress and soothing surroundings enhanced by Demetri's guitar skills. Well done.

"King's house"

Felt like a king. Even a simple gesture of placing your nap on your lap makes your presence welcome. Didn't even wait that long for serviice and if my wife wants to buy me the same dish then she enjoyed her meal well.

On Saturday past we went to Camissa Brasserie at the Table Bay Hotel for the restaurant luncheon. We arrived early, but were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to a lovely table on the outside veranda where we could enjoy watching passing boats and the general ambience of the V&A waterfront.

We ordered wine by the glass as we have to be careful of drinking and driving. There was a fair selection and our wine arrived suitably chilled. We were first given the option to taste the wines, in case we were not happy with our choices. This was a nice touch as mostly wines by the glass are just poured beforehand.

Our main course was Hibiscus Chicken Supreme, a sous viide chicken breast filled with garlic, cranberry and hisbiscus cream cheese, served on butternut and potato crush, with mange tout. The chicken was moist and tasty.

For dessert we were given their signature rainbow cheesecake, with a mixed berry compote and vanilla ice cream. This was presented beautifully with white chocolate shards and tasted as good as it looked.

All in all, it was a very pleasant afternoon and good value for money at R200pp for the food. The food was a little slow in coming, but fortunately, we were not in a hurry. The staff were very friendly and professional. We would definitely return.
