We opted to share 2 starters, the salad and cheese board, which would have sufficed as a lunch portion - huge and very good.
For mains we had the curry and the chicken. Both was a very large portion and hearty.
We opted to take home our desert, but could resist the chocolate ice cream that accompanied the brownie, and that tasted wonderful.
All in all, come hungry and enjoy the beautiful farm and garden. We had a very cute squirrel that accompanied us during our lunch.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Fairview wine estate. After a tasting we went across to the Goatshed to have our lunch. Service was great, atmosphere was really laid back and comfortable. We were a party of 4 and 2 of us had the cheese board starter and the other 2 had the salad. Both starters were really huge and delicious. All 4 of us chose the roasted sirloin as our main. This was not the best offering as none of us were really happy with our steaks but settled…..not great as a restaurant week offering. Steak was dry and not prepared as per our order. Desserts were good and and once again the portions were generous. The meal included a glass of really good wine. Overall a pleasant afternoon.

Over the past 18 years, we’ve worked hard to perfect our menu of delicious farm style comfort food, award-winning selection of artisanal cheeses and our exciting range of fine wines.

Everything we do here is guided by our philosophy that fresh and homemade is always better. We aim to bring the paddock and the farm as close to the table as we can, preparing our dishes from scratch and making sure we use as much of the produce as possible with as little waste as we can manage.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
