Not so with oneNINEone! The restaurant is high end, the waiters are attentive, and the food is top notch! If I could post pictures of the food on this review I would. The selection we could choose from on the Restaurant Week menu was really good: I had a goats cheese, artichoke and beetroot starter, which was delicious. The other 2 people at our table opted for the Springbok Carpaccio. Poetry on a plate! For mains all 3 of us had the Pork Belly. Having eaten this dish at DW11-13, I can honestly say that oneNINEone does not have to take a back seat, and will be making a name for itself as one of Jo'Burg's premier fine dining destinations, as the food was right on par.

For dessert I opted for rhubarb, with a poppy seed sponge and lemon curd. They even made rhubarb ice cream and a deliciously soft and chewy lemon macaroon. Suffice it to say that with their wide selection of fine wines, I was in heaven.

Definitely worth the visit if you're a foodie!
