Tasty food, excellent service!
We arrived to a chaotic scene as many had been watching the semi final match
There was no table immediately available and when we did get one we were ignored for about 15 minutes until we stopped a passing waiter
The waiter seemed unaware of our restaurant week booking as told us all a la crate
The manager finally came and sorted things out but the evening was spoilt and the food was mediocre
I visited this restaurant for restaurant week to review for my blog: www.myprecioyskitchen.com

I had been here before, when they first opened years ago. They made good cocktails but uneventful food.
I was hoping they've grown and improved with age.
I'm sorry to report that it was not better. Drinks were still fairly good with food still coming in average.
They do have the best location though! I would definitely go back for drinks with friends on a summer's day but not to eat, especially when there's so many other restaurants in the area that actually serve good food.
It feels like the food has lost priority in all the fuss about everything else.
If only the food was better, this would be the best hangout spot for the summer holidays.

Cape Town’s favourite destination restaurant and venue, Grand Africa Café & Beach embraces a free-spirited beach café culture, nestled poignantly on the sea-front shoreline and flaunting her majestic views of the mighty Atlantic and Robben Island.
With iconic style and playful luxury, Grand captures the quintessential charm and colloquial effervescence of the bustling city vibe while offering a quaint and relaxed escape, 'a world away' in the heart of the Cape Town's social mile. Since opening our doors in December 2009, this much-loved Cape Town classic has fast become a true must-do destination restaurant and nightspot for beach-chic dining, lazy sundowners and slow-motion rendezvous.
Built within a restored boathouse still richly textured in mariners' lore, today Grand pays tribute to worldly travellers by offering a unique blend of fun and relaxation - positioned on a private beach just minutes from Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront shopping and tourist precinct. Table Bay with the Green Point Stadium, Signal Hill and Table Mountain form a breath-taking backdrop to capturing perfect moments in Africa's retro-romance capital.
With a choice of five bars, ocean view decks, nine private function venue areas and on-beach dining, you're sure to find the perfect spot to capture that unforgettable magic, that is simply ... Grand.
