The 7 courses were excellent and our favorites were the risotto and then the final Parmesan offering. The courses did not come out at an even tempo so we got the first two quickly and then had to wait quite a while for the 3rd. Even paced course delivery would be better in my view to target a 2hour sitting. Thanks.

Stunning Restaurant which will see us again. Cuisine was exquisite from presentation to taste and texture. Combinations were cleverly combined and the wines to which they were paired were very good.
In all, a lovely surprise, just up the road. Roots...watch out, here comes the competition.
The cauliflower soup was one of the best dishes we have ever tasted. The manager runs the show like a pro and service was great. Definitely will be back.
Lovely relaxed evening with great food and fantastic wines
Wine pairing dinner for two at just under R2000 one expects a truly premium experience. The wines were interesting and out of the list of courses two were very good (risotto and soup) three were as expected (cheviche and deserts) and three were poor (tostada and sirloin) in general poor value for money.

About NCW Restaurant
Cuisine: Fine Dining
NCW Restaurant
Chef Ence Willemse, who has previously worked at award-winning restaurants Roots in Krugersdorp and Overture in Stellenbosch, has opened a new restaurant in Melville called NCW. In addition to the boutique eatery with a seasonal menu, NCW will offer a space for cocktail parties, exhibitions and pop-ups.
The style of food might be labelled fine dining, but Ence calls it ‘food with a story’. Part of that story is a focus on the provenance of the ingredients he uses, from the farm to his kitchen. This philosophy extends to the wine offering, each bottle of which has a great story to tell.
The Edwardian building that houses the restaurant overlooking Main Road in Melville has been lovingly restored. The chef lives in another restored residence on the property. This venue has been hard-won: Ence even put in a blue-collar stint to raise the capital he needed to bring NCW to life.
