The food was delicious and there was plenty of it (my husband fears during restaurant week that he will go hungry - but this time he definitely was not). Clint recommended the gnocchi mains and it was delightful. The restaurant has a very chilled atmosphere, better suited to a lunchtime gathering than the dinner that we went for. The lights were extremely bright, so it ruined the ambience it could have had.
Friendly service, excellent food - we had a great time!
Service was excellent. Greeted by all staff on arrival and our waiter, Siya, was outstanding.
The fruit sorbet was colourful and well presented and was the better option on the restaurant week menu.
Starters were good and flavourful, and pleasingly not oily.

The chef/s needs to be more creative with the "side" served with the starters and mains as we received the same onion, chives, spring onion "side" for all dishes received.
The texture ("doneness") of all steaks ordered were on point however they all came pre-sliced. To me, this indicated that the chef/s don't know how long it takes to make a medium rare steak and need to double check before it goes out to the table.
The tables were well spaced which meant that we didn't intrude on other tables when moving in and out or having a conversation.
Decor is very elegant, but the lack of theme of the music detracts from that. We arrived to EDM, which then blended into jazz, R&B and deep house. And then repeated. I can appreciated all of them but pick one that matches the ambience you trying to create.
Kitchen door kept banging which also detracts from the setting.
On arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not make us feel rushed to decide and were attentive, however i expected a larger crowd presence at CASA. However- i do understand, the revamp is still relatively new and need to work on their "image".

The food was such a good experience - with the first course, we had the tempura prawns, portion was small but the tempura was very light & prawn perfectly cooked.
We thought that would set the tone for the rest of the meal in terms of portion size but we were pleasantly surprised: we ordered the steak & gnocchi. Both portion sizes were huge! Steak perfectly cooked with great flavors not overpowering the steak- loved the spicy touch. The gnocchi felt so authentically Italian, the re-hydrated mushrooms was delicious but has the possibility to become overpowering.
We ended the night in the only way we could with creme brule , another sizable portion , the crystallized sugar was perfect, light layer that cracked at a tap, didnt taste burned which has the possibility to do. Could taste the fresh vanilla pods which complimented the dish so perfectly.
Great night
