I really enjoyed the dinner at Copa restaurant
Went there for my birthday dinner, really had a beautiful time. Our waiter was so patient, understanding and attentive… made my evening beautiful 🫶❤️

The service could definitely be improved upon: Our waiter got our drinks order wrong, forgot our water, look quite long to check in on us. After the amouse bouche - where I had used my knife and fork - he slid the dirty cutlery off my plate back onto the table so that I could use it later. This should never be necessary to do in a restaurant, but especially one where there appears to be enough cutlery in the dinner setting. Only when I asked if I would be needing that cutlery, did he remove it.
The food was okay overall. I didn't really enjoy the bread course and agree with a previous review of it being like a cheesy garlic bread. Why not take the time to explain what the cheeses are to us? More could be done to hype up my experience and expectation as a customer: Tell me about the course when you serve it. Finally, I had the pear dessert and that was quite disappointing. The 'poached pear' was a few rectangular pieces of a pear ... not the beautiful half poach pear that I was expecting. Would I go again? Unfortunately, no. For the price that one pays - almost R500 - you expect a certain level of service, and this was seriously lacking.
Amazing food, loved the ambience
The food was delicious, wait-staff super friendly and helpful and overall a great date night.
