The truffle fries are the best thing you'll ever put in your mouth! The only place I've found in South Africa that can make a proper espresso martini that could wake the dead! I really miss them! Hopefully, they are open again soon! I need some fries! The "Truffles beach" is where you will find me all summer!

My friends accompanied me for restaurant week and it was amazing. They raved about the vibe. The quality and portion size of the food was on par. The menu is an adventure, and the decor is sublime.
Service was somewhat slower than usual given that the restaurant was packed but this eliminates the rushed feeling one usually experiences when dining out. They were in no hurry to get us out the door and just by the way, the living wall is exquisite!
Thank you Truffles on the Park. We'll certainly see you very soon and oh so often.
What a lovely afternoon we had this past Sunday. The food was delicious - the only reason I am not giving it the highest score is that I feel, on a (semi) set menu, a SERIOUSLY spicy dish was perhaps not a good option ..... on the positive side, it tasted delicious (squid in a cream based sauce) AND we were warned ...

The service was outstanding - there was none of this "I am ignoring you because you are not my table" nonsense from the staff, everyone, including the manager was helpful, service minded and willing to meet any request we made (including my 75 year old mother's request for "no garnish sh## in my gin please" !!).
We will be back :-)

Read full reviewI went to Truffles on the Park with 2 colleagues as part of restaurant week and we all were highly disappointed. Being foodies, as well as the fact that we all had a really stressful week at work, we were looking forward to this meal. Unfortunately the experience did not meet our expectations. For starters the ambience was totally noisy. We could not hear each other talk at certain times.
Secondly my colleague Murray had an incorrect menu (not a restaurant week one) and when the waitress came to take our order, he had to waste time looking at the correct menu. Secondly the same colleague, Murray ordered a coke zero. The waitress bought a regular coke (she had opened the can already), when Murray tasted it, he realized it was not coke zero. He then asked the waitress to take it away. She didn't have the decency to tell him that coke zero was not available and to ask whether he preferred a regular coke. But made the decision for him. Clearly the incorrect decision. The starters were disappointing. What stood out was the calamari as well as the fish cakes. The fish cakes were really bland and tasteless, the calamari was super hot and almost impossible to eat. I generally have a high threshold for hot food, so in my opinion this would definitely not have been edible by any person not having a high threshold for hot food. I did not enjoy it as the heat was too intense. In terms of the mains, lamb pasta was advertised on the menu. However the waitress mentioned that this was not available. I do not eat beef or pork, so there was literally nothing else for me to eat, unless I opted for vegetarian. I was not in the mood for vegetarian (given that I abstain from meat 3 times a week) I was not going to choose this. She then mentioned that I could order any pasta meal of the pasta section of the menu in lieu of the fact that the lamb pasta was not available. I was undecided between the prawn pasta and one of the chicken ones. She then highly recommended the prawn pasta. Unfortunately this was unacceptable. Seems like prawns were just placed over regular cooked pasta. The unshelled prawns were not incorporated into the pasta but placed on the top. The actual pasta was sweet and in my opinion inedible. I chose not to send this back and ask for it to be redone, because the main meals took over half an hour to get served to us . My colleagues ordered the brisket and were highly disappointed with what seems to be brisket that was placed in hard bread. it certainly didn't match the description on the menu. It makes me wonder why the order took over half an hour, yet the quality of the food was highly inferior. Due to the fact that the main courses took so long to arrive, we had no option but to ask for our dessert to be packed as a takeaway. We all ordered the cheesecake for dessert. Before leaving the restaurant we all tasted the cheesecake and agreed that it was actually quite disappointing. My colleague actually gave hers away and so did I. I also gave my pasta away to my helper.. We split the bill amongst the three of us and it worked out to R320 per person, which in my opinion was definitely not worth it considering that I didn't eat the pasta or the dessert . So to pay R320 just for calamari , in my opinion is really ridiculous. My colleagues and I were highly disappointed with Truffles on the Park and will definitely not recommend it. In order for us to return, there must be a really compelling reason to do so!.
Food was a bit disappointing for restaurant week. They just took food from their normal menus and put it together. The main was a let down, too salty.
