Lovely amazing e drugging was perfect for date night
Restaurant week started and I was really excited to try this restaurant because of their offering. The service was really good but the food average. However, for a 5 course and the look of the restaurant, R495 was a steal.

Restaurant week started and I was really excited to try this restaurant because of their offering. The service was really good but the food average. However, for a 5 course and the look of the restaurant, R495 was a steal.
Positive:
1. The service was amazing. Our waiter was attending to our table regularly making sure our glasses were never empty. Moreover, the interval between the foods was also well planned. Good job.
2. The pricing was affordable, 5 course meal for less than R500 is good. Especially when you look at their menu. Which is expensive.
3. The salmon amuse bouche was really good. The snap on the bread was on point and the salmon tasted really good. Loved it.
4. The sorbet was refreshing and smooth. Really good. Although some might find it too sweet. But it was well done.
5. The chocolate cake dessert was also good. The cake had a prominent chocolate flavour and the ice cream was soooooo good. Give it an 8/10.
6. The seafood soup was also good. The tomato soup was really good with those pieces of mussels, calamari. The bread was also great. Loved it. Give it a 7/10.
Negatives:
1. Unfortunately the portions were kinda small that I still felt hungry after the food.
2. The mains are were the biggest letdowns.
Sea bass - was bland. Like where’s the seasoning ? For that portion of fish, you are supposed to season it liberally. The cherry sauce was good but didn’t help it much. The prawns were really good but those were like 2 medium ones so can’t really count them. It gets a 5/10.
Pork belly - where’s the crackle ? That’s the whole point of pork belly. The rendering of fat and making it snap when you bite into it. Unfortunately this one was still fat exposed. But it was well seasoned. Everything else was just meh. Oh, by the way, we had to add the mash because the dish doesn’t come with any carb. Weird. Give it a 4/10.
3. The lemon tart was very sweet. The meringue was just a meringue can’t say much about it. The biggest problem was the pastry. Was very hard that you couldn’t cut with a knife or fork. Had to pick it up to eat it. Would not recommend it at all. I’d give it a 3/10.
I’m gonna give their menu a try. Saw the fire pasta they do at the table so I would like to try that. Service good and the hostess are also welcoming.
