"Excellent restaurant in Johannesburg "

Amazing restaurant experience, great explanations by the chef (After the fine dining) and the lovely head waiter lady with every course.
From starters to dessert, we were in awe by the taste, presentation and pairing with beer. Playing a board game was great fun!

What a gem. Feels like a pub, tastes like a fine dining restaurant. The front of house was top notch!
Biggest surprise was the fantastic tenderstem broccoli, would never have thought a dish only containing a green vegetable would be my favourite (amongst great meat dishes), but there you have it.
Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Mad Giant Taproom! The service was outstanding. The portions were generous. The food was delicious and the beer was paired perfectly with it. I'll definitely be back time and time again. There are only two things I can fault: 1) MG needs to have some of its speciality beers available (I was so looking forward to the whiskey porter) and 2) perhaps MG can consider some booths with backrests. We had older diners with us and their backs were a bit sore after sitting on the benches with no support for so long. But neither of these things would make me reduce my recommendation.

My husband and I have never had a meal as tasty as this in a while. All three meals were amazing and the staff are super friendly. Will definitely go back!

The entire evening was great! Our food was delicious - I loved the way we tried a few dishes and it's set out in such a way that you share it. The beer pairing was also so good, there are some really yummy beers.

Our waitress was the cherry on top, she was super friendly and really knew her stuff.

We live up the road from Mad Giant Taproom and definitely plan on going regularly!

The Taproom is open! Visit Mad Giant Taproom at Delta Corner, 96 Conrad Drive, Blairgowrie from Tuesdays to Sundays. Their aim is to be casual with excellent food and drinks with an unexpected, but relaxed atmosphere. Their six taps are a mix of their own beers, limited editions, collaborations and guest beers. 1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
