We had another great dinner at the Athletic Club. The food is varied with generous portions and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. The service is always excellent as well. All round, I highly recommend the restaurant (note that the menu is slightly different to what is shown on the website but still provides plenty of variety).
our waitress Felicity was absolutely amazing - one of the best we have ever had. a lovely personality and very helpful with guidance on both food and drink.
fantastic and quirky setting - wish we had been able to book a table on a Thurs night when I think the live music would have made the atmosphere even better. we'll be back!

I enjoyed calamari started with small squares of citrus hidden between olives and soft calamari. Winner! Klefteko was soft and tasty. My wife said Halumi starter was best she has enjoyed. Her baked aubergine with almonds was delicious and presented beautifully. We ended our meal with a cardamom slice and ice cream. Absolutely delicious.
Great evening out in Town. Loved the atmosphere.
Lovely, warm atmosphere, impressed to see the owner so involved and the waitrons treated well. We really enjoyed the food and admired the beautiful building, will definitely be back.

About The Athletic Club & Social
Cuisine: Mediterranean, Vegetarian
Cosy enough for romantic dates, but equally well-paired to group gatherings, this three-storey bar and restaurant is pure opulence!
The brown-hued three-storey Victorian building is bringing new life and class to the inner city. There is a large veranda looking out onto the mountains and cosy corners to eat, drink and relax.
The tapas bar and restaurant offers a menu combining Greek, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The coal-fired rotisserie will transport you far north-east with authentic pita breads loaded with lamb or chicken. All meats and fish are sustainably and ethically sourced. They serve lunch, dinner, drinks and coffee.
