Good food and awesome service, great vibe

Food was absolutely yummy! Great variety! Because we were 4 people were able to try all the meat tapas and a few of the veg options on offer as well as ending our meal off with dessert. I'd definitely go back!

The food was delicious, tasty and well presented. It's tapas style food but the portions were more than sufficient when nibbling and sharing. We had the Iraqi chicken- out of this world, deep fried calamari, pork belly and chorizo croquettes. All yum, including the grilled veg pita and berry meringue. The pear and vodka cocktail was also delicious and complemented the food. Staff are friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.
We were blown away by the amazing menu and everything we ended up ordering - the dishes are top quality and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent. We enjoyed sitting at a table on the upper level with the energetic atmosphere and the warmth of the gas heater nearby.

About A Streetbar Named Desire
Cuisine: Spanish / Tapas
True to its name, A Streetbar Named Desire is a trendy bar overlooking the street. The first-floor balcony offers a nice view of busy Jan Smuts Ave; at happy hour it's crowded with young professionals sipping cocktails and nibbling tapas. Streetbar's menu and decor are clever, playing off scenes from the Tennessee Williams play A Streetcar Named Desire.
