Had a beautiful experience at Kol Izakhaya yesterday. Everything was sublime from the food to the service and the ambience.
absolutely delicious bento box and wagyu burger. The presentation was pleasing to the eye and the taste sublime. Will definitely be back!

Miso soup – surprisingly good as seaweed is usually very overpowering but in this case it was balanced well. Seasoning was also spot on, great way to start the meal.

Miso soup – surprisingly good as seaweed is usually very overpowering but in this case it was balanced well. Seasoning was also spot on, great way to start the meal.
Sushi bento box – the sushi was a mixture of salmon and tuna. Included was sashimi, ponzu salmon salad, hako (fashion sandwich), California rolls and Maki. The standouts were the salmon salad with the ponzu marinate changing the texture to almost cream like, the hako with avo giving it an extra creamy texture and the California rolls with tuna having a spicy element.
Robata bento box – a mixture of skewers including wagyu beef, pork belly and chicken. The standout was the wagyu beef. The steamed rice was a good accompaniment for the skewers. Also in the box was panko prawns although a bit over cooked the taste and crunch from the panko was great. Lastly was the tufo which was not to our taste at all, texture being off-putting and lacking in flavour.
