The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL and really comfortable, so you get to thoroughly enjoy your dining experience. The restaurant staff are friendly and our waiter, the amazing JP, took such great care of us. He was attentive without being intrusive, and made our experience so enjoyable and relaxed.
Then the menu, what a masterpiece. Each course carries a story about Matt, and it makes it so special that he chose to share and pass on some of these close to heart experiences with the guests at his restaurant. It really is love shared through food. Matt is such a culinary inspiration, and his created dishes are so tasty and satisfying. I ate everything off my plates and truly enjoyed each bite. The way the menu progressed with such ease and the right amount of mystique made this so exciting and did more than just live up to an expectation, it truly blew you away. Homespun by Matt is definitely a place you should visit not only during restaurant week but on any occasion you want to feel special or make someone feel special.
Everything was so well thought of and presented. It's food and art and science all in one. Amazing and delicious. So worth it!!! It's my second time and even better than the first!
Our first visit to Homespun at The Andros was a big success. We enjoy good food and eat out often, so we were keen to see how Homespun would compare to some of favourites. Happily I can say it was right in there with the best and the Restaurant Week deal is excellent value for money.

From the Chef's Treat to the Petit Fours, everything was delicious. We enjoyed the story behind the meal and the theater it was served with. I won't forget the broth in which the dumpling is served in a hurry. The Electric Daisy is a memorable palate cleanser.
All I can say in summary is, go there! You are in for a treat
We decided on the 7 course tasting menu and it was a very good decision.
The food was of a very high quality, and the dramatic presentation of each dish was so worth it.
A must visit!

Homespun at the Andros the newest addition to the Homespun family.
Set against the backdrop of Table Mountain, the 5 star graded Andros Deluxe Boutique Hotel is a truly gracious Cape Colonial homestead.
The Homespun journey started in Blouberg. The restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt came back to his home town to open his dream restaurant: Homespun by Matt Blouberg.
Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, South African and worldly flavours.
After 6 fantastic years of growing and thriving with passion, Matt decided to take his journey to the next step and open a second restaurant in the Southern Suburbs.
Homespun at the Andros is therefore the result of an ever-growing journey in the culinary scene.
