Unfortunately this was not what we expected. To start with, there were no table settings. Lighting was so dim we had to use our cell phones lights to read the menu. Although the food was tasty, especially the starters but the mains would have benefited from better presentation/plating. Our waiter was very friendly but seemed to lack experience and attention to detail.
The mussel dish in Keralan style curry sauce was especially delicious but difficult to eat only with a knife and fork.
There was a large function at the other end of the restaurant and maybe this didn't help.
We will visit again.

One of the highlights of Villa Barranco is undoubtedly its outdoor seating area, where diners can enjoy their meal amidst lush greenery and soothing ambient lighting. It's the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a leisurely lunch with friends and family.

As we settled into our seats, we were promptly attended to by our waiter, Lispaguvamobe, whose attentive service added to the overall dining experience. She guided us through the menu with expertise and ensured that our glasses were always filled.

We started our culinary journey with the harvest table starter, a delightful assortment of canape-style bites. The calamari was a firm favourite. Each bite was a burst of flavour, showcasing the freshness and quality of the seafood. It was perfectly cooked to tender perfection and a testament to the Chef's skill and dedication to his craft.

Speaking of the Chef, it's worth mentioning the warm and friendly atmosphere he creates by personally visiting each table and advising on the choices. His passion for food was clearly evident.

Villa Barranco is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience that tantalizes the senses and leaves a lasting impression. With its delicious cuisine, inviting ambiance, and impeccable service, the establishment made Restaurant Week very enjoyable for me and my husband. We will return.
