We did enjoy the food - really a good quality and big portions. Loved the Vegetarian options, really good quality and options to choose from. The atmosphere is relaxed and beautiful. However, the only bad experience was the bill at the end. We discovered that the menu we had of R249 per person (Starter and a main meal) could have been R90 per person cheaper if we just booked and attended instead of doing it through the Restaurant week promotion! It felt a bit of a rip off.... ending up with a bottle of wine (very expensive if you know it is only R85 in the shops and we pad nearly R180) plus an extra 1 x cappuccino and a desert that we shared, plus a 10% tip we end up just under R900 for the lunch for 2. I think we will not do Restaurant week again as our previous 2 Restaurant week promotions were exactly the same experience! Good food, good restaurant but very pricy in the end.

Had a lovely 3 course meal at The Baron Irene. Overall service was great and we were pleasantly surprised with each course. Very tasty and generous portion sizes for mains and dessert. Thank you for a great evening.

The steak my wife had was cooked to perfection. The beef patty on my bun less burger was extremely tasty, and onion rings and chips were nice. There was nothing special regarding the plating and The Baron is not a fine dinning restaurant. We go there often and have never been dissapointed.

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
