We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Dur to the traffic we were nearly an hour late, but they did not give our table away (we did phone to inform them). We went for the restaurant week dinner. The 5 oysters each, were fantastic! We jokingly said (after we gulped them down) that we need replacements as the oysters were raw🫣. Our wonderful waiter, that had the best sense of humour, brought us another 3 oysters. I had the mussels in creamy sauce and my friend had the wagyu burger. Then we ended with the chocolate tart. We really enjoyed the evening and the waitress was attentive and had a great sense of humour.

As always, the oysters were fresh, cold and perfectly sucked. Mussels in white wine was warm and delicious. My son enjoyed his huge, juicy Wague burger. Although the choc tart could have done with some more time in setting, the taste was sublime. We received friendly and professional service from Bongi.

Good food and good value for money. The oysters lived up to it's reputation, though the mussels lacked flavour. Excellent service and would visit again.

The Knysna Oyster Company is now open in a new position in the V&A Waterfront. Now to be found where the old wheel used to be. Next door to Vovo Telo. Our Oyster bar and restaurant serves the freshest oysters straight from our farm. Our menu includes a full sushi bar, fresh line fish, prawns, calamari, salads, and a delicious Wagyu burger for non-fish eaters. Our bar stocks De Grendel wines, Draft Beer, and Cocktails.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
