Food was good although be aware that the portions are extremely small. Would be fine for the full journey menu but if you’re doing restaurant week or 5 course you’ll leave hungry. Wine pairing is also minimal so I would order wine by glass or full bottle.
Exceptional culinary experience.
We experienced a wonderful taste sensation at SALON. Thank you Chef for your amazing menu and your innovative ideas. Every single dish was sofisticated both visually and taste wise. The Duck Suzette was an important addition to the experience and I'm so glad that we paired it with your delicious wines. Thank you also to our waiter, the Trevor who made the day special.
The best culinary experience.. unique in that you experience food from a few countries and you feel yourself go there.. the use of the map.. classic

About SALON
Cuisine: Fine Dining
SALON: A new multi-course dining journey by Luke Dale Roberts, the culinary visionary behind the renowned restaurant, The Test Kitchen.
About Salon
SALON menu marks something of a return to the heady days of Luke’s iconic restaurant, The Test Kitchen.
“The ‘Dark Room’ experience was, for me, the high point of The Test Kitchen at the time,” he says. “So I decided to emulate that here at SALON.”
Diners arrive at SALON through a bright golden portal, a striking entrance into a more traditional salon space of Victorian-style floors and classical marble-topped bistro tables.
The concept of the Journey menu showcases each country that Luke has worked in, focusing on a signature dish from that country’s culinary heritage, with the menu being small focused and interactive. Diners are encouraged to come along on a voyage that shows Luke’s evolution and influences as a chef. “It takes my decades of travelling, tasting and cooking in some incredible kitchens around the world, and condenses it all into a nine-course exploration of all the wonderful flavours and dishes I’ve encountered along the way.” Says Luke.
