As we walked out into the street, we could observe that this was the only restaurant that still had customers. Clearly the locals knows the best spot
This Restaurant Week menu was really delicious and with so many choices per course, there was something for every taste preference. Our table of 6 tried various of the dishes, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The starter hummus plate, ribs and lime baked cheesecake were especially delicious. An enjoyable evening all round. Compliments to the Chefs for sure! Delicious cuisine.

Read full reviewHad a great dining experience at Anatoli. Welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable staff and an unpretentious, authentic ambience. The halloumi with fig compote starter was a delicious combination of saltiness and sweetness. Sautéed calamari was tender & flavourful in a garlicky tomato-based sauce, although the accompanying portion of Turkish flatbread was a bit meagre. Main courses of baby kingklip over pearl couscous with a lemon and olive salsa and braised lamb ribs with garlic mash & roast veg were perfectly cooked and portions generous. For dessert, the Turkish coffee creme brulee with date shortbread was a highlight - creamy textured, beautifully flavoured and the shortbread was just right for dipping. My dining partner loved the molten chocolate bombs with homemade orange ice cream, although it was too rich for my taste. A pot of mint tea was the perfect accompaniment. Will definitely return for a special occasion.

About Anatoli Mediterranean Restaurant
Cuisine: Mediterranean, Turkish
Anatoli is one of Cape Town’s longest-established restaurants, but is receiving a rejuvenating makeover, with a transition to authentic Mediterranean foods, and introducing a new Vegan Tasting Menu. The kitchen is headed up by passionate Chef Jacques du Toit, a master at bringing out the best in his dishes, with a mix of Mediterranean spices. Chef Jacques is passionate about spices, his favorites being sumac, coriander, cumin, and cinnamon. He is a creative creator of unique dishes, and flavourful food.
Anatoli is an informal, homely, lively, long-established authentic Mediterranean restaurant serving generous portions of flavourful foods, including magic mezzes, aromatic main courses, and delicious desserts, all beautifully presented. On most Saturdays a belly dancer is in the house.
Anatoli serves a pre-Dinner Aperitif consisting of 4 Mezzes (Hummus, Ezme, Mixed olives, and Tzatziki), half a flatbread, and a glass of red or white wine, at R75, from 16h00 - 18h00. Dinner is served from 18h00. It currently offers three menu options: an À la Carte Menu, a Vegan Tasting Menu, and a special Restaurant Week Menu (1 April - 2 May).
