Impeccable service in a beautiful surrounding. The majority of the food that we ordered was very good. The fish broth was very sweet and the shrimp over cooked but everything else was very good.

I’m not sure If it was the day of the week that we were dining however we (48 and 52) were the youngest people in the restaurant.

Absolutely loved our Eat Out 3 course meal. My husband and I ordered different dishes so we could taste more items. Everything was great. In particular, our two mains - ostrich and beef fillet - were amazing. Hope to return soon!

From when you enter the establishment until you leave the restaurant you feel the warm welcome. The food is out of this world and the great service with attention to detail tops it all off. The dinner outing was much enjoyed. Thank you to the Signal team.

This was our very first visit to Signal Restaurant and upon entering this establishment, we already knew good things would come.

Firstly the staff are pleasant and eager to please. We were taken to our table which had a view of the marina. Our waitress took our cocktail orders as they have an exciting cocktail menu. Warm and freshly baked bread was brought to us with soft butter. Sadly some really high end restaurants still serve rock hard butter...tsk...tsk.

A wine sommelier popped by our table after we gave our food orders. We told him what we were in the mood for and what was a no no.... He came back with two vintage bottles which he gave the rundown of each. We took his word and ordered a 28 year merlot. The wine was exquisite and just as he described.

For starters I had their Butter Curry Risotto with, pan fried kingklip, grilled prawns and coconut foam. Now before you make a funny face, let me set the scene in front of me. Perfectly cooked risotto with a nice heat coupled with Kingklip, prawns and the most perfectly cooked green peas. It was heaven. This was a superb dish that was executed with precision. My partner had their Confit Pork Belly with seared scallop, celery purée, passionfruit, apple salsa and ginger foam. Another dish that wowed and wowed.

Onto mains and I decided to have the Bobotie Spiced Ostrich with lentils, quinoa, cauliflower puree and jus. The Ostrich was cooked to a perfect medium rare and danced in unison with the Bobotie spices.
He had the Beef Fillet with short rib, polenta and jus. Another excellent dish.

Our desserts were very good. He had their Milk Chocolate parfait with cremeux, dehydrated chocolate, raspberry and pink peppercorn sorbet - delicious.
I had their Dulcey Mousse with passion fruit whipped ganache, banana liqueur jelly and praline ice-cream - A very summery dessert that wasn't too heavy.

Will we go back to Signal Restaurant? Yes as they make your who dining experience about you. Their staff are excellent and really have a passion for their work. They are extremely knowledgeable with regards to the menus. The food is outstanding with so much of attention to detail.
If you are ever in the Waterfront vicinity, go and have a meal at Signal Restaurant.

Dining at Signal at The Cape Grace Hotel is nothing short of an amazing experience. Without being stiff or pretentious, the staff are super friendly while their service is impeccable! Everything you would expect from a fine dining restaurant in a 5 star establishment and more. The food and wine was absolutely delicious and the whole experience was well-priced while the food portions were super generous. This was our second time here, more than a year later and its simply fantastic that Signal has stayed true to its original flair and has kept it’s standards as high as what we experienced at our first visit.
