Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here. The service was impeccable - the staff being friendly and attentive. The starter platter was most enjoyable. We had fish and chips for main course which, whilst enjoyable, was nothing exceptional, and I felt the fish could have done with a little more seasoning. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend the restaurant.

I had the sardines with rice, and my partner the chicken skewers and chips. The Sardines was left wanting in taste and quantity, and I was unfulfilled. My partner's skewers were bland, and only grilled up with no marinade or spices beforehand. I would recommend the Plaka for service alone, as the waiter was proactive, friendly and helpful. On choosing something to eat, be careful and don't venture from their signature dishes, as it may distract from a delightful outing.
My family and I had the Restaurant Week lunch special at PLAKA Eastgate yesterday. It was a lovely meal. You feel like you are sitting in the Mediterranean, the decor is lovely and the setting has great ambience. The starter of pita bread with halloumi cheese and dips was delicious. As were the main meals.
Definitely a recommend to other diners.

Both were delicious and well seasoned and came with a choice of sides. It was good to see that they maintained their standards. We're still huge fans!
