Staff were friendly and efficient - Nkosi looked after us very well and the manager/owner also checked on us...

The food was delicious and the portions very generous!! I had the ostrich fillet and my husband the lamb rack - both cooked perfectly and presented beautifully, accompanied by veggies and potato croquettes!

We enjoyed the semifreddo for dessert.

A lovely afternoon spent in a picturesque setting on the banks of the Hennops River with a Jazz musician, what more could you ask for. The food was tasty and service great.

"Pure relaxation "

We had the most wonderfully relaxing afternoon at Al Fuime. Sitting on the deck, listening to the river run besides you, waitering staff who are just a pure joy to have around and the most delicious food, what more can one ask for. Cannot wait to return.

Nothing was too much trouble for these people. The waiter went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable & we were spoiled beyond belief. The food was amazing, never had we enjoyed food so much & the presentation of it was beautiful. The manager heard we wanted to see the likkewaans and took us to their hiding place so we can take photographs. The setting was so peaceful next to the river it felt like we were in another world completely. Kudo's to these guys, loved every minute of our visit. We're going back for a weekend soon.

Al Fiume serves food that lives up to our definition of quality: the season's best, cooked with skill and passion and presented with a minimum of fuss.

The cellar at Al Fiume is stocked with a diverse choice of Italian and South African wines. The selection includes everyday drinking wines and wines for special occasions; wines from some of South Africa's best-known estates and unusual wines from smaller estates.

Al Fiume is a restaurant for all seasons: long, lazy summer days on the wooden deck; bright spring days when the first signs of green are starting to appear on the trees overhanging the river; bracing winter days when you might want to work off your meal with a brisk walk over the bridge and cozy autumn days when you can sit snugly in the restaurant and watch the falling leaves floating down the river.

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
