We were pleasantly surprised by the taste and presentation of the various dishes we were served. This was 'Fine dining' at it's best. The flavours of the various elements blended beautifully. It was reminiscent of tasting and pairing menus, at award winning restaurants, that we previously enjoyed.
Food was excellent ! Presentation and flavour ...absolutely enticing and beautiful ...Well done , this restaurant has really gone beyond my expectations.
This was our first visit to Havana Grill. I had heard so much about how good it was, I suppose it gave me a false sense of expectation.

I had the Chicken liver starter which was excellent, could have done with another piece of toast to soak up the gravy. My wife had the pear salad, she said it was nice but not outstanding. You could taste the tinned pears and the walnuts could have been more candied.
The steaks were where the problems began. Ordered rare and medium rare, they both came overcooked. The Bernese sauce was split. Overall with the chips it was very tasty but I expected them to get it right.
Ambiance and service was good.
I often wonder if when they have these specials, do they try as hard to please.
Food was tasty, beautifully presented, portions were substantial, service was great, view was lovely. A wonderful evening!

Read full reviewWe have frequented Havana Grill over the years and it was one of our favourite restaruants. We celebrated my parents anniversary here in December 2013 and all ordered their very expensive seafood platters. We noted that the quality of the food was not up to the standard we expected, but decided to make the best of it nonetheless. The next day, all six of the diners were sick with nausea and gastro problems. With the supper being the only common meal we shared,I contacted the restaurant to report this and find out what could have happened with our meals. I was passed on eventually to the female manager at the time who then informed me that that we all probably had a bug and infected each other! No apologies or concern, just sheer arrogance! So my advice is if you want to indulge for a special occasion and expect quality for the price, avoid Havana Grill.I know I do.
