"Consistently good"

The house always takes my breath away - one can almost feel the old school authenticity. The service is amazing - well trained staff with that extra french finesse. The food was really good, especially the ham hock. The coq au vin was a little underwhelming... almost boring, but not bad. The vegan dishes were outstanding.
Overall a very pleasant experience.

"A perpetual favourite"

We went for dinner as part of Restaurant Week, and the experience was once again lovely. We had a table outside looking into the garden, the food was excellent (at the price) and the wine paired well with what we ordered. I did miss Sinisa Nikolic who always made one feel really welcome and looked after in the past. Brasserie de Paris remains a firm favourite.

the whole experience was just amazing. From the waiter, the chef, and all the little extras between meal courses. Food was delicious and generous portions served. I will definitely visit again!

Accommodated in a Karl Jooste designed house, the extraordinary design of the house is equal to the incredibly friendly and well trained staff who were great during our visit.
We started off by receiving a refreshing amuse-bouche of pea puree, chicken stock, topped with truffle oil (warmly presented by the Head Chef of the Brasserie de Paris).

For starters we enjoyed a classic French Onion soup and Charcuterie consisting of French pate & terrines, a pickle and some crisp toast. Both dishes were beautifully prepared; flavoursome and nearly a meal on their own.

For main course we both ordered their Coq au Vin (it’s so beautiful you don’t want to share). The chicken thigs slow-cooked in red wine and spices were deliciously soft and fell off the single bone it was served on. This was topped with mushrooms and smoked bacon which added an amazing layer of flavour to the dish. This was served with the rich and silky smooth Robuchon mashed potatoes (Joel Robuchon was a French chef and restaurateur, named ‘Chef of the Century).

For desert Crepes Suzette and Mousse au Chocolate were served.
The crepes were served with Grand Marnier, orange segments and vanilla ice cream; while the mousse was accompanied by Dark Valrona chocolate mousse and shortbread biscuits. As with our other selections, these were carefully prepared and presented beautifully while being equally delicious.

Their great service and excellent food makes any visit to them a memorable one.
