Wonderful service, setting and food was exceptional. The tomato consommé was excellent. I can’t wait to visit again.

For our final venture of Restaurant Week, we revisited the ""Cherry on the cake "" and we could not have asked for a better ending to this season of Restaurant Week.
Under new ownership / management, this restaurant has lost none of its charm and grace with the friendly and professional staff ensuring that a visit to them is not only enjoyable but a memorable one.
To start the evening we were treated to complimentary rolls served with a chicken skin butter and cranberry butter. A fresh and tasty start to our 5 courses.
1st Course: cream of asparagus soup, crispy peas, croutons lemon cream.
Light and elegant, this understated dish was very refreshing and well-rounded in flavour.
2nd Course: Duck liver parfait, crostini trio of apple.
The creamy and smooth parfait was delectable and was perfectly paired with the acidity of the fresh and dried apple.
3rd Course: Soft shell crab, red pepper, lime, radish.
The crab was deliciously crunchy and packed with flavour, with the red pepper rounding off the dish with fresh earthy notes.
4th Course: Beef fillet, Porto Bellini, roasted onion puree, pickled shimeji, charred baby onions, demi-glace, Pommes Anna, crispy fennel.
The fillet was prepared to perfection and was complimented by all the components on the plate creating not only a visual masterpiece but a symphony of rich tastes.
5th Course: Lemon meringue, black pepper, lemon curd, short crust pastry.
This deconstructed desert was a beautiful combination of sweet and tart with its freshly made bite sized delights.
All dishes delivered on their expectations, if not exceeding them.
The food was excellent!
Paired the meal with a different bottle but I was very happy with the quality of what was plated for us.
