The food was tasty and some choices was had an acquired taste but the over all experience was elegant and relaxing. I would recommend that the atmosphere would be well complemented with lovely soft music.

The lack of food was made up by the quality of the food. The dishes were delicious and our party tried all options.

Thai prawn and papaya salad, braised oxtail in red wine and Salmon Vichyssoise. Sounds mouth-watering? It certainly is. Top it off with Date and Toffee pudding with crunchy hazelnut ice cream for dessert, and you are certainly in for a pleasant flavour surprise!Using the freshest produce available, all meals are served with great care and attention to detail.

Entertaining options at The Fairway Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort are aplenty, but Balata Restaurant deserves the first mention. Offering a variety of seating arrangements, vibrant décor colours and modern fireplaces, the restaurant is famous for its outstanding breakfasts. Light business lunches are popular, but Balata is certainly known for its exquisite fine dining under the leadership of Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Siegenthaler. The Sunday buffet lunch is a culinary feast not to be missed and romantic fine dining dinner next to the fireplace is high in demand.
