"Amarula Mousse! "

I was not a fan of the calamari, but the Lamb Loin and Amarula Mousse was scrumptious. Great service as well.

Both deserts were amazing. I could not get enough of the amarula chocolate mousse. The only let down was the amuse bouche which was a small piece of toast, with cucumber and cream cheese.

"Wonderful night out"

We had a fantastic time at Hemmingway's. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Michael, was very attentive and truly one of the best waiters I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. It was a wonderful night.

This is the second year we’ve done restaurant week and once again we were very impressed with the service and food. Hemmingway’s was fantastic from the moment we walked in. We were very surprised to see a very good friend and waiter that used to work in our home town many years ago. After been seated we were told about the menu and by sous chef as my wife has fish and nut allergies. A pianist played in the background at just the correct volume. Their wine selection and cellar are great and the wine was served at the perfect temperature. The food, goes without saying, was very good. We all selected different food and swapped to compare. Fantastic! I will definitely be going to Hemmingway’s in the near future.

"Elegant"

My husband & I were there for our anniversary, we requested a private setting & recieved just that. Service was excellent, Michael is a star. Everything was on time, food a fine dining experience.

Frequently asked questions

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

2. How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation for every reservation within a few minutes at the email address you provided. Haven't received anything? Please check your spam folder.

3. I follow a special diet. Can the restaurant accommodate that?

Yes, restaurants always take dietary preferences into consideration.

You can specify your dietary requirements in the comments section of the reservation form.

4. Are drinks included in the menu price?

In most deals, drinks are not included.

However, some restaurants may offer a welcome drink or provide a wine-pairing option, and this will be clearly indicated in the restaurant's menu.

5. How can I change my reservation?

No problem.

6. How can I cancel my reservation?

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
