Hemingway's serves incredible cuisine. In this no fault can be found. Tasty, nouvelle cuisine, well presented well in a romantic environment. A bit more thought could be spent on their music selection as we have a single track played over and over until asked to change it. Waiters are excellent and professional. Overall I really enjoyed the experience, but feel it to be a little overpriced for what you get. Enjoyable on a special occasion though nevertheless.

The ambiance at Hemingways is wonderful and the service is utterly exceptional. Nathi was our witty waiter and seemed genuinely happy to be at work and helping us. All staff were well trained and made for a great experience. The food, however, was such a let down for this great place. The ideas were good, but both our starters and most especially my chicken main left A LOT to be desired. I would go so far as to say they were the worst dishes I have ever had. Truly a pity - I hope they work on their meal execution and taste pairings, as they were a disaster.

AS mens die moeite doen om eers deur die tuine / perseel van Leriba Lodge (waar Hemingways gelee is), te drentel, word jou asem weggeslaan deur die skat van inheemse bome en die moeite wat hulle doen om die name van bome aan te bring.
Voel regtig of mens ver buite die stad is....'n regte stukkie paradys, hier onder mens se neus.

Die verwelkoming en diens binne die restaurant was ook uitstekend. Moeite is gedoen om die vegetariese persoon in ons groepie te akkommodeer (daar was nie spesifiek geregte op die restaurantweek- spyskaart vir vegetariers nie, maar ek het hulle vooraf in kennis gestel en hulle het dit duidelik gemaak dat dit glad nie 'n probleem was nie)

Die enigste klein negatiewe punt was dat die plastiek wat gebruik is om die nagereg in te stol/set, nie van my nagereg verwyder was voordat dit aan my bedien was nie en het ek met 'n stuk plastiek op my bord gesit...nie so aangenaam nie.

Went with friends for the Restaurant Week Special...what a great experience...Michael was our waitor and he was great, made us feel right at home. The food was great...I had the snoek starter...but my favourite was the seared Salmon main...OMS the best I ever had...I love seared salmon but not every restaurant can make it...but this was definitely the best ever...I am in love! The men had the carpaccio started, and they loved it, they had the rump for mains and they said it was delicious with the spinach risotto, I had pepperdew risotto with my salmon and it was stunning. For dessert most of us had the chocolate mousse which was yum. We met the chef...Shaun. And the wine was great, we had a bottle and 2 extra glasses. Even our men loved it...and it was enough food for them.
