Then our starters arrived... the cheese souffle was out of this world - SA emmental. Generous portion and very filling. We had this alongside a green salad with an amazing vinaigrette. Again a very substantial portion considering these were just starters. For mains we had the fillet medallions with seasonal veg and the cashew nut and mushroom curry. Both were superb and left us rather full so unfortunately could not be tempted by the delicious sounding desserts. The restaurant area is very spacious so it was a little weird to be the only diners. As we were leaving a family arrived for their reservation. I wish more people knew about and frequented this gem we have now discovered.
The experience was incredible, great atmosphere, awesome food (presentation and taste), and perfect host. I would definitely come here again.

This venue lends itself to a private function(which they offer)The art exhibition was a delightful addition to our evening and we wandered around, wine in hand, while we waited for the starter to arrive. Menu choices beautifully selected and presented. Thanks you

Robert Mulders, the proprietor, did not get our SMS telling him we'd be late because I sent it to the restaurant competition organisers instead. But he waited, long after the theatre goers had gone, and we were the only ones there: thus we had the most intimate, individually catered, intellectually engaging, and delicious meal in ages. And the art was great too! Fantastic.
