Service at the table shocking given the place was not busy, slow, forgetting to get things on time but not rushed ie bread, butter, topping up wine and water - we had to always ask. The guy (whoever he was) asked some dinners how was their meal but was not interested to ask us. Now the food - value for money poor, the most ridiculous portions where the chef has overdone the aesthetic but forgotten the flavour. The Carpaccio dry and alone The surroundings ok ish, but to be honest this was not worth going for a special evening and the food and service was poor. Go to Turn and tender for a good time and super cuts of meat presented in an honest fashion with a smile!

Our waiter provided very good service. Even though Restaurant Week usually offers a 3 course dinner we received a 4 course menu upon arrival. It was only when we receved the bill that it was explained to us that the additional course was charged for extra. This was not communicated to us beforehand and even though the hostess offered to take that off the bill, we had already paid in full. She however made no attempt to refund us or compensate us in another way for this oversight on theor part.
The power also went off about four times during the dinner and even though there are candles around (which makes me think this occurs often and they prepare for it) it does affect the abience and overall dining experience at a 5 star institution.
The food and ambience was great - didn't know it included 2 courses though? Thought it was all 3. Otherwise great
My boyfriend and I visited Atholplace for the first time yesterday, and boy, what an experience!
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff is friendly and the food was to die for, tasty and fresh

This restaurant is consistently amazing. The food always impresses. Everything from quality to presentation to mix of ingredients. We thought stds might be compromised given that it was Restaurant Week last night. Not at all. Food was exceptional. We will be back again and again. Already suggested to everyone that asks me for a good restaurant
