The food was excellent, service at it's best. We will tell our friends living around Sugar Hotel to visit this restaurant and will come back as well.

"Super Saturday Afternoon"

Even though I've driven past this spot hundreds of times, I didn't realised this lovely little restaurant existed. A great lazy Saturday afternoon, with fantastic food, and great service!

We, party of 5, got greeted very warmly and were seated at a nice round table with very comfortable chairs. They have a very outside deck as well. Normally we don't go (so quickly) to a restaurant with a hotel. But this restaurant is worthwhile your visit. Affordarable a la carte, Fantastic staff! Friendly, profesional and efficient. They have a great wine list with affordable wines which really will compliment your dish. We had a super evening. The food, in one word: mouthwatering. A feast to look at and a delight to eat. Really. And the good thing is, the menu they are offering during restaurant week is also on their regular menu. We later spoke to the chef and owner Marc of both the restaurant and lovely Sugar hotel, his partner and co-owner is one of the great waiters, terrific guy with a passion for food. He told us he worked in the UK did the Cordon Blue there, went to Switzerland to learn the real secrets about pattiserie (pastry) and to become a chef in it. Will definitely and gladly be coming back! If the food wasn't so good i would only come for the ambience and my current favorite wine, which of course they also serve! De Morgenzon chenin blanc. Try to find any excuse you can think of to go have lunch or dinner there. Like all 5 of us, i am sure you also will be coming back and will totally enjoy yourself. This comes from someone who loves to eat good quality food made with a passion, like Jordan's and Waterkloof.

Wonderful experience! Best discovery of the year 2015 in Cape Town. The staff was very kind and friendly. Service was efficient and relaxed. The food was deserving to be in Cape Town 10 best restaurants without a doubt. Fine Dining the way we like it, not overcomplicated, just flavourfull with good plating. Portions were fair. Cauliflower Soup for starter is to die for in terms of taste. Braised lamb shoulder was also a winner for my main. My wife had the chicken main course which in it's own way was also amazing (very rare when you order chicken in a restaurant). Ended up with the best panacotta ever tasted in our life. Well done. We will be back soon and again and again. Must try!!!

As our first restaurant for restaurant week, I invited my sister along as a birthday gift.
The venue is excellent, the waiter was professional and gave us excellent service. The food was superb.

However, I was not happy with our seating, we were next to the cupboard and close to the toilets, there is no air conditioner, it was very hot and stuffy. There were other table available, we did not ask to move.
