Few remarks:
- breadbasket with solely supermarket bread: in restaurants like this one needs bread from local bakers, or bake it in house
- starter springbok very good
- pork belly: one of the best i ever had
- dessert: pannacotta was not good, too much gelatine, and therefor unedible
- knowledge of waiter was lacking: good intentions, friendly, but lacking of knowledge
On a scale of 1 to 10 an overall good 8+
Everything was just perfect- the setting, the wonderful and friendly staff, the exquisite food and estate wine. The main course was perfect and the dessert possibly the best i have ever had at any restaurant. The view over the Franschoek valley, the beautiful interiors and the stunning way the food was presented made it a visual feast as well! Our waiter was delightful too!
We made a reservation for Restaurant Week. The view was amazing and the service good. The food was however a disappointment. We ordered the calamari starters. The calamari was rubbery. The seafood main was good but the pork loin overly salted. The deserts were the best courses of the meal. Won't be back.
We had a lovely oval table in the contemporary restaurant, enjoying amazing views of the Franschhoek valley.
The service was friendly, but could be better. We were four, and choosing 3 identical starters and another one. The waiter did not remember who ordered the other one. Also, the lady with the coffee was a...

The service was friendly, but could be better. We were four, and choosing 3 identical starters and another one. The waiter did not remember who ordered the other one. Also, the lady with the coffee was addressing other tables to check who ordered them.
Apart from this, food is certainly delicious and well presented on colourful plates.
This was our first visit to the MIKO restaurant. We've been pleasantly surprised by the position with nice views, the ambient, the food and service.
The restaurant was very quiet so we got all the attention, not sure how it is when the place is busy.
We had Calamari as a starter with the most delicious sauce ever and the Cape Salmon for main - perfectly done.
Definitely recommendable!
