It was definitely the little touches from Derrick and the rest of the staff that made the meal. The taste combinations made for interesting eating as we had the kingklip with kale, but was good. We will be returning to try other menu items.
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at the Country Kitchen and did not want to leave.
To start off with, we were made to feel very welcome by Enrico and then Neil, our waiter for the afternoon. It was a pleasure being served by Neil, as he was completely informed and competent, with a tremendous sense of humor.

The menu was varied and the food delicious. The two main courses that we chose with the different variations of the same ingredients were especially good.
Last but not least, the view and ambiance of the Country Kitchen all contributed to a very enjoyable afternoon. We will definitely be back!
we have had a excellent lunch full of flavoures and structures but we missed the info about wine and the fact that this restaurant week offer is a two course menu. you pay extra for a three course menu.
What a lovely relaxing place to spend an afternoon dining. A light lunch, a great ambience as well as fantastic and attentive service - what else can you ask from this hidden gem in Franshoek.
Definitely a value for money dining experience. Well done
