The restaurant has a really nice vibe to it. Although the service was quite quick and very pleasant, we had to ask for water at least 3 times before we got it. I wasn't blown away with the food; the starters were too rich, and the lobster rolls only had flesh for the first 2 bites...the rest was just bread.

The food was fantastic and the delivery of the meals were very timeous. We had deep fried Mac & Cheese balls for starters. The dough had a very nice chewy consistency which blended well with the soft and stringy cheese inside. I think there was a hint of blue cheese, which made it all the more appetizing. Either way, this lovely starter was followed by a 250g beef burger accompanied by a salad and fries. I can honestly say that it is one of the few times I actually enjoyed a restaurant salad. The balsamic glaze was superb and the acidity of the salad was a great compliment to the (very) big and juicy beef patty topped with cheese and sweet-salty maple bacon. Finally we concluded the evening with a rich and delicious Oreo and Nutella chocolate cheesecake. At first I thought the portion was a bit small, but it was so rich that I was eventually glad it wasn't bigger. Although the place might be a bit pricey (especially the burger), I will most definitely visit again if I get a chance because it was worth every penny. This was one of the tastiest menus that I have had in a very long time; I cannot fault a single item....
We booked as part of restaurant week, and was definitely not disappointed! The beef burgers are enormous and so tasty. Even the salad was delicious (as was the skinny fries). Our waiter (David) was really friendly and on top of his game!
Will definitely visit again!
We booked this through the Restaurant Week and went with an open mind. The experience from start to finish was excellent. The staff and management were extremely attentive, the food was superb and the ambience just perfect.
Will definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back.
Awesome place to grab a drink (2 for 1 specials 4pm to 7pm) while grabbing a quick bite before heading out for a night out in town.
Service was really good and attentive, the owner was very engaging and entertaining. Had a DJ inside playing some awesome tunes that set the mood.

Food was a little disappointing given the prices - wish they included more lobster in the lobster roll because the whole meal felt a lot like chips and a roll.

About Burger & Lobster
Burger & Lobster
Gourmet burgers and lavish lobsters are at the heart of this trendy new Bree Street restaurant and cocktail bar.
Tucked away neatly on the Mother City’s trendiest strip, a fresh-out-the-box addition to the metropolitan culinary scene has officially arrived offering patrons an all-new epicurean experience. Sitting flush against Bree Street’s cobbled sidewalk, its large arched black doorway – which formally opened in July 2016 – stands tall, presenting passer-by’s with very little indication as to what takes place behind its unassuming entrance. The only clues? An elegant red carpet leading into the building and the doorway's contrasting title ‘Burger & Lobster’, which in actual fact simply says it all.
Reverting to an unusual approach of a restaurant culture where diners are offered only few items on the menu done right, Burger & Lobster (B&L) Cape Town presents customers with an impeccable threefold menu in the form of its B&L Burger, B&L Lobster Roll and fresh – from tank to table – Whole Lobster done two-ways.
