Our waitress Juliet was attentive, friendly and very helpful and even organized us a special treat when we told her it was our anniversary! The chef also came to greet us. The rating I gave for ambience is purely as the restaurant was quite empty over lunchtime
We had a marvelous brisket starter, and amazing dessert, but unfortunately the beef fillet was overdone, and a bad cut. As there was nothing else in the plate, there was nothing else to fill the hunger gap. If you are going to only serve fillet... you have to make sure it is the best damn fillet ever. Unfortunate...

As there was nothing else in the plate, there was nothing else to fill the hunger gap. If you are going to only serve fillet... you have to make sure it is the best damn fillet ever. Unfortunately it was the worst fillet we had ever tasted - Spur does a better job. My dorado was amazing - but my husband left hungry and unsatisfied. Such a pity as the restaurant was great - the gin menu exotic and the service on the ball without any hovering.

My first impression and realization were that the whole restaurant was not participating in the restaurant week and that we were one of only a few tables that did. The rest of the patrons were regular customers. This was a slight disappointment as I was looking forward to the excitement of everyone enjoying the dining experience together.
So we started a bit rocky... but from there everything went up, up and up! The Service was incredible and we were made to feel very special. The Gins on offer were awesome and an absolute delight, I felt like a kid with a bubbling brew with hot ice in front of me. The menu for the night was fantastic, I chose the brisket starter and it as an absolute taste sensation, creamy pulled brisket with a base of mushrooms served on pastry with a paprika mayo was awesome!. For mains, I had the fish, a crispy crusted Dorado on a bed of Asian noodles and an Asian broth. This was an absolute highlight!!!! I did not expect an Asian dish, and this was hands down one of the best I have ever had. I will be back to have that again GUARANTEED. Our Desert was a smashed Creme Brule WOW WOW WOW! Excitement as they came to the table to film us having our dessert, it was a Creme Brule unlike any other, served in a sugar globe that we smashed at the table IT WAS SPECTACULAR!!! Visit the Arbon Bistro Facebook page and you will see the action ;) All in all, a great night out and I want to the thank the staff and the chef for an incredible start to an awesome gastronomic week ahead.
The menu offering for dinner was great and all courses were spectacular in the way they were presented and more importantly taste!
