A wonderful evening of great eating!
I enjoyed lunch at The Bull Run Restaurant. I will be going back soon. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Starter was a choice of two salads: Mozarella and Avo or a Steak Camambert and Avo, both were good but a little ordinary. Could have been presented a little better and they were heavily lettuce driven.

Mains chose prawn dish and steak dish. Prawns were slightly over done but still very tasty. Steak with french style butter was the hero dish meat quality was superb.
Dessert was Cheesecake which was good but also a bit ordinary.
Overall a very good dinner but nothing mind blowing. Will definitely go back to try ala-cart menu.

The Bull Run
The Bull Run opened its doors on 28 October 2000 to a welcoming crowd of South Africans and visitors from around the world. Situated in the ever-growing and bustling financial district, The Bull Run sits at the base of the Protea Hotel by Marriottยฎ Johannesburg Balalaika Sandton, a treasured destination for travellers.
Since the beginning, quality meat has been an integral part of The Bull Runโs identity. Patiently matured and given the respect it deserves; each cut is prepared to customersโ exacting standards.
In July 2018 The Bull Run reopened its doors after an extensive refurbishment. Award-winning interior designer Tristan Du Plessis of Studio A masterfully designed an experience that is both warm and welcoming, with a clever nod to the New York Stock Exchange and the classic NY grill house. Custom light fttings, plush furniture and handmade wall tiles contribute to the comfortable and evocative space.
The Bull Run takes its name from the financial term, referring to a period when prices rise on the financial market and any investment is a winning one. Our story continues, in honour of good food, great steaks, welcome travellers, and the growth and success of a market in one of the most beautiful, diverse and progressive countries in the world.
