A good nights starts with a knowledgeable waiter. When that is backed up by excellent cuisine in a great setting you have an epic night.

It happened to be our 20th wedding anniversary, and we were presented with a personalized card. The service was very attentive. The wine list is extensive, & the have their own sommelier to help with decisions if needed. The food was divine. We had the chicken oyster & pork belly starters. The semolina gnocchi in the pork belly starter were not great, but the rest was delicious. The chicken oyster starter was definitely a winner.
For mains we both had duck. My duck was absolutely delicious. My husband's duck was a little on the rare side and he had a thicker piece of fat on it. We both still enjoyed the mains. The flavors of all the meals was next level. The desert was the PS I love you tuille with icecream. It was delicious. We ordered a flat white & cappuccino...both good coffees. The kitchen is open plan, there is plenty of activity, although not loud.. it was great to watch the staff in action.
Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back.
The food and wine choice was excellent and well prepared. Service was attentive but not in your face. Conducive to an excellent evening, enjoyed by all in our party.

From the starter to the dessert we loved the food. However the service we received didn't match up to the food. I had paid in advance which was only because it was a surprise for my partner and i didn't want any obligation when it came to payment,as if i didn't he would've and i didn't want that. So once the night was approaching the end we asked for the bill and the difference being the drinks which was R100 we had tipped R50 this being the total R150,and R700 which was already paid before we arrived to the restaurant.
We asked to be moved from our place as we were seated on the side opposite to the kitchen and close to the entrance near the wine room, which wasn't possible which is understandable because they were busy, we then asked for our chairs to be replaced as the ones we were seated on was a tad bit uncomfortable. It was after 15 Mins. The service wasn't brilliant but we just wanted to enjoy the night because we had looked forward to it!
No complains were made as we were quite upset and just wanted to leave.
The FOOD was amazing and out of this world,I will recommend that! But With the regards to service,i would love to revisit however i will give that a second thought!
